Nueva Canarias demands that the co-management of immigrant minors between the Autonomous Communities be regulated

Faced with this reality, which has claimed between 7,000 and 8,000 lives of people in the last three years on the so-called Canary Islands Route, NC demands in these elections "an immigration policy" that does not exist, since, in its opinion, the one they develop the European Union and Spain "are far below what is needed", for which reason he urges President Pedro Sánchez to assert his imprint on the international scene to improve during his EU Presidency the new European Pact on Migration and Asylum, presented in 2020 by the European Commission.

"It will be necessary to establish an immigration policy thinking of all borders," considered the NC candidate, who is committed to "fighting politically and legally" for the improvement of the reception system for unaccompanied immigrant minors, estimating that "it is fractured." nor does it pay attention to the reality that these kids face when they reach the age of majority and find themselves on the street and without documentation.

In his opinion, when dealing with Morocco, Spain must separate immigration issues from diplomatic or commercial issues, so that what concerns people is not used as an "instrument of blackmail or bargaining chip".
